Coconut Turmeric Ladoo

A little bit of sweet and a lot of goodness!

Fresh from our kitchens and after many tasting rounds, our coconut turmeric ladoo recipe won't disappoint. Loaded with antioxidants, these little power balls make a great snack for kids and are a true crowd pleaser!


15 pitted local dates

2 tsp ground turmeric

1 cups rolled oats (you can also use gluten-free oats)

1 tbsp chia seeds

1/2 tbsp ground flaxseed

1/2 cup raw pistachios

2 tbsp shredded carrots

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes

2 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes for coating


Soak the dates in boiling water for 5 minutes then let them sit to drain for another 5 min. Save 2 to 3 tablespoons of the water in case your mixture later needs some moisture.

Combine all other ingredients (minus the 2 tbsp of shredded coconut) with the dates in a food processor and blend until your mixture comes together and forms a dough. If the dough doesn’t form, add the water you reserved one tablespoon at a time.

Sprinkle the remaining 2 tablespoons of shredded coconut into a shallow tray and set aside.

Finally, to make your truffles, scoop a tablespoon of the mixture into your palm and roll into little balls. Then drop the little balls onto your tray and shake them around to coat them in the coconut.

Refrigerate the balls on the tray for 20 min then store in an air tight container.

We like them served cold with a cup of Chai tea!
